Catching up...

"Photography takes an instant out of time, altering life by holding it still." -Dorothy Lange

Where to begin?  Hmmm.  With Erynn, I think.  She was so happy when she came over this Thursday.  She had her backpack filled with a Tutu, ballet shoes, and tights so we could take pictures.  She even informed me that she had been practicing her poses, and she wanted to go to a new place.  We did not have much time, but she got dressed and away we went.
Here is the whole outfit Erynn chose to bring.

Gorgeous!
For some reason, my memory card did not want to cooperate, so we had to come home.   Not to be defeated, we decided to take some shoots here, with a new memory card, and in a cowboy hat.
Too cute!

For sure!
Reid went buzzing by, but did not want to have anything to do with taking pictures.  I got one anyway.
Hey, no pictures!
Warren continues to recover from his surgery.  He has a wonderful friend in Maggie.  She is there with him most of the time.  Sleeping.
Lie down time!
Warren has had some nice surprises with his recovery.  One night the doorbell rang, and we could not imagine who it could be.  It was his office staff holding the biggest basket you ever did see.  I cannot believe I failed to take a picture of it.  It had all kinds of snacks, powerade, puzzles, 2 movies, and they even included a framed picture of all of them.  It was pretty nice, and Warren was thrilled.

Marge Camp brought over lunch one day.  Lasagna, homemade french bread, salad, and homemade oatmeal cookies.  Yum.  Warren was thrilled again.

Friday was Warren's first official outing.  I thought it would cheer him up by going to do something, so we went to Tinnies for lunch.  At first, he was not too thrilled with the idea of going to Tinnies, but after we got there, he changed his mind.  Since the weather was cool, we sat outside in the patio area.  He saw a ton of people he knew, he liked his sandwich, and he had the best company...me!  After we ate, we went to the juried Art Show at the museum.  I did not enter anything in it this year, because I had too much going on with my Pennsylvania trip and Warren's surgery.  We had fun looking at all the pieces that were entered.  The best part was the photography and the miniature paintings.

Yesterday, Saturday, his medical billing staff sent decorated strawberries.  The timing was perfect because Warren was feeling a little down...his leg was bothering him.  And again, he was thrilled.
Aren't these the most gorgeous strawberries.  They are even better tasting!
Today is Sunday, and we had quite a rain last night.  Thank you, Lord!  It has been cloudy all day, and I decided it would be a good day to walk around and take some photos since the lighting was so nice.
Prickly pear cactus is in bloom.  I liked the different colors.

I finally got a hummingbird not at our feeder.  This is in our backyard.  Now I wish I could find a nest.  And if it had eggs in it, that would be even better.

See the rain drops on the flower?  Proof we had some rain.

It is dragonfly season again.

This bird looks mad at me for taking its picture.  It must be friends with Reid since they neither one want their pictures taken.

The Smith's bird sanctuary located off Sycamore street.

I know this is not the prettiest, but we do have a lot of crows so I took a picture.

These lilies were in the Smith Bird Sanctuary pond.  I think they are lovely.   They look like little maidens.

This looks so unreal to me, but it is actually growing.  I really like the reflection.
This post would not be complete without some photos of Maggie.
Our Maggie.

I think she sees a bird.

Doesn't it look like she is smiling?
That's it for now.  I am sort of caught up.

Cute pictures--And to think that I used to could NEVER get my daughter to sit still long enough for a picture, much less to pose! :) Great nature pictures, too!
