Girls just wanna have fun...

"I wanna be the one to walk in the sun- oh girls wanna have fun,
Girls just want to have fun." -Cyndi Lauper

This is the group of ladies that I go walking, hiking, shopping, and generally hang around with.  And boy do we ever have fun!  Bright neon colored tops, and bright neon colored shoes are favorites of ours.  The neon colors have become our trademark.  We definitely get noticed when we are out on our walks.  And we get a lot of comments.  People stop their cars to comment.

Left to Right: Sarah, me, Darlene, Sharon, Lola, Teresa, Leslie

Here's some of our fun activities...
As a day trip, we went to see the play "Mamma Mia."
Sarah and me

Some husbands even went along...

Warren and I had a dinner get together to celebrate our one year anniversary of being in Hendersonville...We look a little better here.  Amazing how nice we look when we aren't in our walking or hiking clothes.

 On another hike...

And one can never tell what we might do after a walk.  Sarah wanted some gladiolas, and couldn't find them in a store anywhere.  I knew where some were...only the store was in the process of being built.  Vegetable and flower plants were ready for harvesting, but the store was not yet open.  We stopped anyway. We found someone who looked like he was in charge, and asked if we could buy some flowers.  He called the owner who gave a very good price for the flowers.  So...Yes, we could, and we did.  We do like our neon colors...

After a hike, we found a catfish camp, and decided to check it out.  It was rather interesting.  Each little dock had all kinds of weird decor.  Here's one with cars on the roof...old chairs, and signs.

There were tetter-todders... which we had to try out...

Old chairs... and junk...and nice ladies.

And more junk of all kinds...and the nice ladies again...

I know this looks like a bike shop...like some place Warren would be found perusing, but we ladies went here after a hike for...COFFEE.  There's a very nice coffee shop in this bike store.

And look what I found in the River Arts district...

We do have a lot of fun.  I am blessed to have such great friends.
