Cat goes missing

Much to my dismay, Smidge did not show up when I called him last night. Occasionally, he will not come in, but is always at the door the next morning. He was not home this morning and has failed to show up as of this writing (late afternoon). Warren and I have looked next door, gone around the block, and up and down the alley calling his name. No Smidge. I hope he is all right and will show up soon. Other than that, I am praying and looking for him. Oh where, oh where can my cat be!
