Every year it comes around...your birthday. This year Warren's birthday marked his 69th year on this earth. And I am so glad, as well as thankful because he has added sparkle to my life. We had a small birthday party with Luke, and the boys to commemorate Warren's special day. I decided to do a Minion theme since last year for Halloween he was Gru, and his office staff, "his girls" were the minions.
Unfortunately, he did not have his sweater, or his girls...but he had other minions...not dressed up though, but about the right size.
I decided to put all 69 birthday candles on the cake...it was sort of a fire hazard, I know...
It was going to take time, and skill to light all of them.
We wondered how long it would take before the balloons hanging from the light to heat up so much that they burst. It was not long, and it scared everyone big time. With the balloons gone, the candle lighting continued...
and continued...this time Warren began to help out with the lighting.
and the lighting went on until...
every candle was lit.
Then we sang happy birthday, and Warren blew...
...and blew...
and even got some help blowing...
...until they were all blown out...Whew!
Then we got to eat Cake...and remember...and make more fun memories. I think it was not only a good day for Warren, but for the rest of us, too! Birthdays are just plain fun. Happy Birthday, Warren. We love you so much.
