"Pray continually…" -1 Thessalonians 5:17
Have you ever felt like you were hearing something directly from the Lord? Well, that happened to me today. I was on my way home from sewing; I had my radio tuned to K-Love. The DJ said, "I want you to know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that God hears your prays." Then the second DJ told this story:
A lady had been praying for a long time about a particular situation, and she found herself wondering if God was hearing her prayer. One day, she was driving home when she came upon a very, very bad car accident. Traffic was backed up for miles, and it took a long time before the traffic jam was cleared. While she was waiting in the traffic, she felt an overwhelming urge to pray for the people involved in the accident. She prayed, and when traffic began moving went on her way home. Several months later, someone knocked on her door. It was a young woman who she did not know. The person asked if by chance, she was stopped in traffic due to a car crash on a particular date, time, and highway. The lady answered in the affirmative. The person at the door said, "I was in that accident, and I died at the scene. I was hovering over the area when I saw a car with a bright light coming from its roof. The next thing I remember, I woke up in a hospital ICU ." She told her husband to write down these numbers, and she told him the numbers which were the license plate numbers from the car where the light was coming from. Some time late, the lady involved in the accident, and her husband tracked down who owned the car, and their address.
She said the minute she drove up to the house, she recognized the car from her experience. She told the lady, "I had to tell you, your prayers saved my life." She had driven 3 1/2 hours to tell her the Lord heard her prayers.
Amazing right? I felt like that story was definitely for me, and was a word from the Lord that He has indeed heard my prayers. I have been praying a long time for a particular situation. Maybe my answer is around the corner, and it was God's way of telling me not to give up. At least that is what I think. Pray continually…

My mom told me about that story today. Right now I'm trying to see if it can be verified and that's how I came across your page. Do you know any of the names of the people?
An amazing story at just the right time for faith building for long prayed prayers. KLove and other Christian radio have blessed me in similar ways with testimonies and songs, and I am thankful for their ministries.
Stephanie, I do not know the names of the people. Perhaps call K-Love since they aired it. Several people said it was aired at different times during the day. Sorry, I cannot help you.
Thank you very much for sharing this story! Anne in Sweden.
